Asap karhutla atau kebakaran hutan dan lahan sudah memasuki atmosfer Jakarta pada Jumat pagi (16/10) pukul 10.00 WIB.

“Betul, sudah masuk (Jakarta), asap Karhutla yang dari Kalimantan,” kata Sekretaris Utama Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Guswanto kepada Katadata.co.id, Jumat (16/10).

Guswanto menyampaikan, DKI Jakarta tercantum sebagai wilayah yang terdeteksi terdapat asap dan berada dalam area sebaran asap karhutla. “Namun, gambar ini hanya menunjukkan keberadaan/sebaran asap di atmosfer dan belum menunjukkan secara langsung tingkat konsentrasi polutan di permukaan yang dihirup masyarakat,” katanya.

Masyarakat bisa memantau sebaran asap kebakaran hutan lewat sejumlah platform website maupun aplikasi seperti BMKG – Citra Sebaran Asap, NASA Worldview, dan NASA FIRMS.

BMKG menyebut langkah yang perlu dilakukan masyarakat sebaiknya bersifat antisipatif, di antaranya rutin memantau kualitas udara (AQI/PM2.5), gunakan masker saat beraktivitas di luar ruangan (disarankan KN95, KF94, atau N95), hingga membatasi aktivitas luar ruangan, terutama olahraga berat seperti lari, bersepeda, atau aktivitas fisik berkepanjangan saat kondisi udara berkabut asap.
