#BlackLove! Papoose is giving God all the glory for bringing Claressa Shields into his life! ❤️🙏🏾 During the Bars on Wheels: A Journey to Save Hip Hop Red Carpet Screening in #Atlanta, #Papoose was asked by @SpiritualWord host Nia Celé (@theniacele) what #God has done for him in this season of his life, and his answer was none other than #ClaressaShields! The rapper described Claressa as an amazing woman and his queen, admitting he never saw their relationship coming. He shared that meeting her made him realize just how much God loves him. “When I met her, I was like, yo, God really loves me,” Papoose said. He went on to explain that Claressa has been a breath of fresh air in his life and has inspired him in ways he struggles to put into words. Despite being someone who always has something to say, Papoose admitted that when it comes to Claressa, even he finds himself speechless. Earlier this year I had a heart ablation to correct my SVT. A condition that had me in constant fear of an episode and the unknown of how healthy my heart truly is. Getting it fixed gave me my confidence back, mostly, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t over read into any signal of my health that may be off and catastrophize the consequences. This was my first real, hard shot at a time I’ve been chasing for years since having the ablation, and, I GOT IT DONE. KEEP CHASING YOUR GOALS.
idiot I started writing these lyrics without really knowing who they were about. I tried to force into a story about another person but it was so obviously me singing to my inner saboteur. The “I’m not good enough” and “does everyone hate me” anxieties are so silly but normal. I hope I get better at dealing with them. Writing about them definitely helps. It took me and Ludde quite a while to figure out the sonic world for this. We sent it off to @tailtiu0 and said “do you thing” and damn did they elevate that shit! I think the production really reflects the feelings of frustration.
