Funny old life. Never thought I’d find myself sitting down with James English, telling my story on his Anything Goes podcast.

An absolute pleasure and an honour. And honestly, what a fucking lovely fella. Proper diamond of a geezer.

Thanks for having me on, James. 👊

Episode should be out in about four weeks. I’ll let you all know when it drops

A GitHub engineer named Terkel has created a macOS tool that lets you hide messy desktop files under a virtual rug.

Instead of organizing folders or deleting files, you can simply drag the rug over your desktop clutter and watch everything disappear underneath it.

The tool uses real-time cloth physics, so the rug bends and folds around the files. Bigger piles even create larger bumps in the fabric.

Terkel, a Principal Research Engineer at GitHub Next, shared the experiment as a fun take on the old habit of sweeping your mess under the rug.
