I spent over 30 years with hair I hated. Apparently, some people would prefer I’d stayed unhappy so they could enjoy looking at me.

These are real comments. About a haircut. And somehow we’ve ended up discussing whether women’s opinions of themselves count without a man’s approval.

I love my shaved head. I’m the one who lives in this body, and I finally feel like myself.

You don’t have to find me attractive. But your preferences are not instructions for my life.

And if you’ve been putting off something you want because someone might think you’re less feminine, less pretty, less desirable…your happiness matters more than their approval.

Women with shaved heads • bald women • female buzz cut • femininity • self-acceptance • body autonomy • challenging beauty standards

This 10-Second Test Predicts How Long You’ll Live…

Can you balance on one leg for 10 seconds? Your answer may predict how long you will live. A major study followed more than 13,000 older adults for seven years and found that four simple physical tests, things you can do right now in your living room with just a sturdy chair, forecast survival with startling accuracy.
Performing well on them was linked to a 42% to 59% lower risk of dying over the next seven years. The single strongest predictor was not your cholesterol or your blood pressure. It was how your body moves.
Here is what most people miss: your annual checkup measures you sitting perfectly still. But real survival depends on how your brain, nerves, heart, and muscles work together the moment you stand, turn, or catch yourself from a fall. That function often waves a red flag years before any blood test does.
In this video I walk you through all four tests, the exact numbers to hit for your age, and why walking five miles a day will NOT save you from a fall.
Try the balance test and comment your time below.
