With limited staffing and increasing victim survivability, try this drill. How long does it take you to take an unconscious victim out of a window verses keeping the victim in the 1’ profile and dragging them out? #firefighterclosecalls #firetrainingdirectory #firegroundanalytics #tristatefiretraining #thepassionateleader #firefighterrescuesurvey #firefightermaydaysurvey #oldlineleatherlids #fsri @ @

Great skill to keep fresh and practice. It is extremely applicable and makes victim removal (especially large victims) much easier. One of our crews used this on a grab about 2.5 months ago with a large victim.

What about electrical? Real question. Trip the breaker or could is be dangerous?

The second cut should be the bottom cut. That way the weight of the piece won't jam the saw. I saw that happen

Try to keep that bar tip up when getting close to the floor plate, I’ve grabbed carpet on the floor with the saw before and it will put your saw OOS pretty quick.

@lohud Four people were taken to hospitals the morning of Wednesday, May 27, after a house fire in Cortlandt Manor, NY, in Westchester County, officials said. New York State Police said a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries in the fire. The girl later died at the hospital, and state police later confirmed the boy also succumbed to his injuries.

No one is doing this at a real fire only in training!
