Congrats to the sailing crew on Kerma, coming in as 2nd this morning from the competition Visby Classic around Gotland, the biggest island in Sweden and the Baltic sea.

Our grandson - Skipper Helmer Melinder from the Royal Swedish Yacht Club - took his young 20+ years crew safe in harbour after 39+ hours including two nights at sea.

We are so proud for your achievment @melinderhelmer!

Falling Down (1993) remains one of the most compelling and intense character studies of the 1990s. Directed by Joel Schumacher, it pitted Michael Douglas’s unravelling “D-Fens” against Robert Duvall’s retiring detective in a cat-and-mouse race across Los Angeles.

Sometimes the hardest part of being an athlete is knowing when to take a step back ❤️‍🩹

Sadly I won’t be competing at this @fiseworld @ucibmxfreestyle World Cup 🇨🇳 I’ve been quiet on social media for a week because the past few days have been a bit of a roller coaster. I’ve been dealing with vertigo which basically makes everything spin in my head like riding a rollercoaster whenever I move my head too much. I’ve talked to several doctors, worked with physios and mental coaches, and tried everything I could to get back on my bike. But in the end we decided it’s better to sit this one out.
It sucks, especially after putting in so much work and feeling ready to compete. But I guess being an athlete also means knowing when to listen to your body instead of always pushing through. My priority now is to focus on the (upcoming) World Championships rather than pushing my limits here and risking further health complications or injury. I feel bad because I’ve been riding world cups since 9 years nonstop and I always pushed through boundaries so I feel like I wanted to share this because I know I’m probably not the only athlete struggling with moments like this.

Sometimes one step back is what you need to take two steps forward.
I’ll be back 🫶🏼❤️‍🩹

ICYMI: we won last night. Now let’s win New York.

I held Kathy Hochul accountable and made my priorities clear: lower taxes, lower utility bills, and safer streets.

See what people are saying. Then help me take that message to more voters
