3 days agoGreat explanation of neutralization! One thing worth adding though: this reaction is exothermic, and both HCl and NaOH are corrosive on their own. With dilute solutions it only warms up a little, but concentrated acid and base can boil, spatter, and release HCl fumes. NaOH is especially dangerous to eyes. It would be great to add a quick safety note (goggles, gloves, dilute solutions only, don't try it at home) since younger viewers might want to copy this. 🙂
