“Show, don’t tell” is one of my favourite songwriting concepts/rules. Here’s a breakdown of the first verse from a song I wrote called “What Did You Start in Me”

As fan of clever lyricism and unique story-telling, this is one of the most pivotal concepts or ‘rules’ that I always keep coming back to when I’m writing my stories. There are a million ways to convey the who, what, where, how, where and why within a story without directly spelling it out!

I’m no master of the art just yet, but it’s really satisfying when something like this comes together. I could talk for hours about this, I tried to keep this video as brief as possible. I enjoyed making this video, which is rare to say about a piece of content, should I make more?
