LOVE & WAR this Friday 🏦❤️‍🩹 #BankRollJu
Cheruvayal Raman called me his daughter when I met him, and he touched my heart. From then on, I teased him and called him my Malayali Acchan. When we last spoke to each other a month back, he wanted me to go and meet him. I promised that I would, but I had to cut short my trip to Wayanad because of events in Delhi so I missed meeting him thinking that I would return soon. When I heard about his passing today my heart sank. My Malayali acchan was wise, dignified and bold in thought and action. He wanted more for his people, he refused to accept less. His mind could not tolerate discrimination and injustice. He showed me his awards and honours with sadness in his eyes - he said they would mean nothing to him until his people could live better lives. He was a genius in his knowledge of paddy and agriculture and he understood the great value of his own culture and tradition. He was proud of his heritage and lived it with every breath. I will miss my wise friend and keep his teachings in my heart for always. India has lost a noble son.
Our Second Nature collection launches tomorrow!!! I know it’s just clothes to some people, but to me it’s so much more. Every collection is a little piece of my heart, and this one is extra special. 🥹 it truly feels like me. Everything about it is what I love to wear. I’m so excited, nervous, grateful, all the feelings today. a little SURPRISE for our community- if you’re signed up for our email list, you’ll get a password to shop 10 minutes before everyone else! 🤎 comment CAMO here and I’ll dm you a link to join our email list! I hope you love this one as much as we do!!! 🫶🏼🤎🍂 see you Wednesday at 7pm central!!
Comment SYNC and I’ll send you the method 💚✨ I used to think getting results just meant eating less, training more and being more disciplined. So that’s what I did. More cardio, more restriction, more pressure to be “good” all the time. And whenever I fell out of routine, I just assumed I was the problem. What I wasn’t really thinking about was my cycle, my hormones, my energy, my stress, my recovery… basically all the things that can completely change how you feel from one week to the next. Once I stopped expecting my body to perform exactly the same every day, everything got easier. I started using the higher energy parts of my cycle for more strength and dynamic movement, and the lower energy parts for Pilates, lower intensity movement and more recovery. I also stopped under-eating and actually started fuelling my body properly. And weirdly, that’s when I became more consistent. Not because I was trying harder, but because I finally had an approach that actually worked with my body rather than constantly fighting it. That’s basically what Sync was built around. So if you feel like you’re doing “all the right things” but still not really getting anywhere… Comment SYNC and I’ll send you exactly how I approach it 💚
