Some trips are vacations. Some are reminders of who you are.
This one was the latter.
There’s something special about standing in the place where your family’s story began—hearing old stories, meeting cousins across generations, watching our kids build relationships that will outlast this trip, and remembering that the roots we inherit shape the branches we become.
So grateful to my cousin @lia.t.morrison for capturing these moments so beautifully. ❤️🇵🇷
To my Puerto Rican family: thank you for the laughter, the meals, the music, the history, and the reminder that home can live in people just as much as a place.

My name is Vivian Solivan, my father, Pedro Solivan was from Aibonito, PR. I only met his sister Doña Ana and she had a daughter named Violeta. Lived in PR for 7 years after I retired as Hospital Administrator. I met a cousin, Dr. Solivan a Dermatologist. I would love to meet other family members. I may have other siblings that I am not aware of and family living in Puerto Rico.
