President Trump turned the presidential pardon into campaign theater Tuesday, signing two pardons onstage at a rally in Wasilla, Alaska, as the crowd cheered. An aide brought out the paperwork. Trump joked that the men were now “as clean as a newborn baby’s a**,” then added, “I love doing this stuff.” The men, Zachary Czubak and Patrick Fleming, had pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiring to violate the Clean Air Act by removing pollution controls from diesel vehicles. The rally was meant to boost Sen. Dan Sullivan and other Republicans ahead of the midterms. Do you think we’ve become indifferent to a president using the extraordinary power of the pardon as a campaign gimmick?

another one pot wonder but she’s baked this time! ♥️ one pot baked tortellinis ✨ * 4 ish tbsp high quality olive oil like @oliva.dorado * 1/2 yellow onion (diced) * 5-6 cloves of garlic (diced) * 7-10 white mushrooms (sliced thin) (also optional) * 1/2-1 tsp Calabrian chili paste (adjust for spice preference) * 4-5 tbsp tomato paste * 4-5 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes (diced) plus about 1 tbsp oil * 28 oz crushed tomatoes (I love the ones with basil for pasta recipes) * 16 oz cheese tortellinis (refrigerated but could also use frozen) * 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth (add more if needed) * 1 ish cups heavy cream * 2 cups spinach * 1/2 cup ish of freshly grated Parmesan cheese * 1-2 cups of shredded mozzarella Seasonings: about 4 tsp Italian seasoning or 2-3 tbsp of each dried basil, parsley, oregano (adjust more as needed) plus salt and pepper Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. In a large oven safe pot or Dutch oven heat the olive oil to medium high heat and cook the onions until soft. Add the garlic, Calabrian chilis, sun-dried tomatoes and oil, mushrooms, seasonings and tomato paste and stir to combine. Simmer until everything is soft and cooked through. Add the canned tomatoes, tortellini, and broth and stir to combine. Taste and season again with the all seasonings above. Simmer covered and on low until the tortellinis are almost fully cooked but are still a bit al dente. Then add the cream and parm, stir again to combine. Top with a generous layer of mozzarella cheese and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until bubbly. Finish the last 5-10 minutes under the broiler to get the cheese browned and crisp! Serve with more parm, enjoy! (Use my DISCOUNT code “julianne15” for 15% off your @oliva.dorado purchase) #onepotmeal #onepotpasta #onepotrecipes #easyrecipes #cozyrecipes
