Fuck yeah bro. FAST match in Parma, ID. Piles of moon dust. Dune buggy. Belt fed stage gun. It's for you dawg it's lit.

1: guns for the match were the Aero Pro 12.5 and Shadow Systems MR920

2: holster is the new T-Rex Titan active retention holster

3: I ran the match with a Blue Alpha battle belt lite, 2 rifle mag pouches and 2 pistol mag pouches, no chest rig or additional LBE

Dust is not good for firearms. Everybody had at least a few malfunctions. I used a handful of Magpul Glock PMAGs which don't have a good reputation for handling dust, but I only had one hesitation to chamber on the last stage over two days. Otherwise zero malfunctions with the MR920. Retaining magazines in a dump pouch is a good way to keep them clean(er) but at some point you will have to go prone and your dump pouch will fill up with dust.

The Aero Pro 12.5 also worked great. Once my mags got really dusty I had a few sluggish bolt closures on the first round of a magazine. No other issues. Suppressor is a direct threaded Exigent Fireteam, gas is tuned with an adjustable gas block. Very pleasant to shoot.

I could definitely cater my gear to better suit this kind of match. I was carrying barely enough ammo to complete most of the stages. There were a lot of fairly long range pistol targets, and SHO/WHO shooting so a more match oriented gun would have made it easier. All the rifle targets were steel so the shots were taken at longer range for safety. A longer barrel and more magnification would have been useful on the rifle, and not a liability up close. I was warned I would want a bipod but I'm stubborn so I didn't bring one but I really should have.
