The best ideas rarely happen at a desk.

The groupDCA Studio in Gurugram is planned as a series of distinct blocks woven through the landscape, connected not by corridors but by gravel paths, open lawns, and the shade of trees that were here long before the building was. Moving between spaces, you pass glimpses of the garden, hear the crunch underfoot, catch an unplanned conversation with a colleague. The studio was designed for exactly that.

There is the outdoor picnic table where drawings spread out under the canopy. The stone-walled corner where the light comes in low and the thinking goes deep. The overhang at the rear of the studio block, built for a cup of coffee during the rains or a conversation that needed to move outside, and the garden where one can walk barefoot.

Each nook has its own character. Each one earns its place.
