Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday introduced flute artist Samar during a press conference in Delhi, where he criticised the alleged use of force by police against protesters demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Gandhi described the authorities’ response to the growing protests as the use of “danda” (sticks) and presented the flute performance as a symbolic response to it.
