3 years ago I was in the hospital. 3 years ago I was days away from dying. 3 years ago I was scared out of my mind. 3 years ago while battling something of this magnitude I was still on Outlook, answering emails, conducting interviews, creating itineraries, doing everything except focusing on healing. 3 years ago we made this silly video on one of the darkest days of my life.

I almost died and we still we found a way to laugh. I’m still battling things I don’t post about. I’m still living in fear, terrified that I might not wake up tomorrow, that today might be my last day.

I was never given the opportunity to truly mourn everything I lost that year, all the changes my body went through, the aging that seemed to happen overnight, the mental anguish, the grief, the fear of trying to exist with so much still unknown.
