Beyoncé Fans Were Fighting for Renaissance Tickets While a Broker Allegedly Made $833K Off One Tour Stop Blogged by: Draggy A ticket broker allegedly turned the final night of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour into an $833,323 payday by purchasing thousands of tickets through more than 1,300 accounts, according to a new federal lawsuit. The Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission filed the lawsuit on October 15, 2026, accusing California-based REPS & Company Inc. and three executives of illegally bypassing ticket purchasing restrictions. Federal officials say the company used an elaborate network of accounts and technical tools to acquire Beyoncé concert tickets in quantities far beyond what individual customers were allowed to purchase. According to the 22-page federal complaint, REPS purchased 7,624 tickets for Beyoncé’s October 1, 2023, concert at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Ticketmaster had imposed purchase limits ranging from four to eight tickets per customer. Investigators allege the broker circumvented those limits by spreading purchases across at least 1,300 accounts. The company allegedly collected approximately $833,323 in profits after reselling those tickets. That works out to roughly $109 in resale profit per ticket, although the complaint does not identify the individual prices paid by concertgoers. The Kansas City performance carried special significance for the Beyhive. According to KSHB 41 News, the concert marked the conclusion of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, and the singer used the occasion to announce her concert documentary, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.” The tour itself had already become a historic achievement. Pollstar reported that Beyoncé generated approximately $579.8 million from 56 performances, selling more than 2.77 million tickets. The production celebrated Black dance music and the cultural influence of ballroom and queer communities while establishing new commercial milestones for the superstar.
