Heidi and Ed first crossed paths in 1997 while holidaying in Bodrum, Turkey, when they were just six years old. The pair spent a week together at a children’s club, holding hands and enjoying what would become their first childhood romance. After the holiday, they went their separate ways, completely forgetting about one another. ❤️ Fourteen years later, fate brought them together again at Newcastle University in 2011. Ed contacted Heidi for help using a washing machine in a student flat she had previously lived in, and the two eventually fell in love and got engaged. It wasn’t until a family dinner that Heidi’s mother recalled her daughter’s childhood holiday boyfriend, also named Ed. Two weeks later, she discovered an old photograph in the attic confirming it was the very same person. The couple recreated their childhood picture for their wedding invitations before tying the knot in August 2016, turning an innocent holiday romance into an incredible love story. 💍🥹
