I wasn’t in a prayer line, I was in my usual place, serving in the corner and focused on behind the scenes aspects of the conference. But in this moment, Pastor T. Renea Glenn connected with me, and without even laying hands on me, she released a word that completely shifted my life.
I wasn’t seeking a moment, I was sincerely serving, and while serving, God allowed me to receive. The Lord had JUST impressed upon me that honor is demonstrated by positioning. If I recognize that God is moving through the leadership that He has established, then I can’t afford to be casual or just present. The issue is not whether God is giving, the issue is whether I have positioned myself to receive what He is releasing.
This season has challenged me to stop observing what God is doing and to walk fully in it. I want every instruction, impartation, correction, and measure of grace that the Lord has for me. I refuse to leave God’s presence carrying less than what He intended because I failed to recognize the significance of the moment.
It’s very possible to carry the mantle of service while missing the impartation available through that service. If all I do is work, then I become a servant who is exhausted. But when I serve with discernment, I become a servant who is strengthened by the very glory surrounding the assignment. MARANATHA!
