Today marked the beginning of my one-year appointment as the Vice-President of the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association. I am excited to work alongside people who are passionate about growing the game of basketball! If you are a high school basketball coach in NC, please make sure that you join the NCBCA. There is power in numbers! Please let me know if you have any questions.
@lindacardellini has lived many lives. Audiences first came to love Cardellini as Lindsay Weir, the naive, army-jacket-clad teen in ‘Freaks and Geeks.’ Then came Judy Hale, the toxic yet endearing widow in ‘Dead to Me,’ and Carol Love-Smernitch, the no-nonsense presence in ‘DTF St. Louis,’ a role that recently earned her an Emmy. In fact, there hasn’t been a time in the last few decades when the actress hasn’t given us someone to remember. But her upcoming role in ‘Crystal Lake,’ @peacock’s highly anticipated ‘Friday the 13th’ prequel series, is unlike any other she’s ever had. She’ll play Pamela Voorhees, the franchise’s original female slasher—and an appealing protagonist for the lifelong horror fan to take on. Being able to “dive into this character who is touched upon but makes such a huge impression was a fun idea,” the actress tells ELLE. “She’s obviously not right in the head.” Ahead of the ‘Crystal Lake’ premiere tomorrow, Cardellini sat down with @clairemilch to talk about Pamela Voorhees, her days on ‘Freaks and Geeks,’ the legacy of her iconic ’90s and ’00s roles, and more. Every @male does 😭 - Bryce Dallas Howard has built a successful career as an actress and filmmaker, becoming widely recognized for her roles in major Hollywood productions. She gained attention in films like The Village and Spider-Man 3 before taking on the role of Claire Dearing in the Jurassic World trilogy. Her performance helped make Claire one of the franchise’s central characters, evolving from a corporate executive into a determined leader facing extraordinary challenges. Howard is also an accomplished director, working on projects including episodes of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. As the daughter of filmmaker Ron Howard, she grew up around the entertainment industry but has established her own identity through acting and directing.
