13 years ago, I married my best friend. From the first time I laid eyes on him, I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. I just couldn’t have known then how much sweeter it would be to actually be his wife.😘

I’ve never known a kinder, gentler, more thoughtful man. Chad notices the little things. He checks on me throughout the day, sends me texts, and is always looking for a way to make me smile or make my day a little easier. There is so much that goes into raising a big family, and he carries it right alongside me. Nothing is too hard or too small for him to do and I’ve never heard him complain. 🥹

He works harder than anyone I know, yet he still makes time to hold me close and give our children his attention every day. I hope they grow up understanding what a gift it is to have a daddy like him.❤️

And behind so many things I’ve dreamed of doing, there he is. Listening to another idea, encouraging me to try, helping me figure it out. Being loved by someone who believes in you like that gives you courage.☺️

I tease him that we’re slowly turning into the same person. Our likes, our dreams, the things that make us happiest… a simple life, barefoot children running around, animals, a garden, home-cooked meals. More time outside and less time on our phones. Watching the sunrise or staying out for one more minute of a sunset. Time in God’s Word together. Holding hands. Lots of hugs.🌱🐄🪏☀️

I never could have pictured all of this 13 years ago. But I believe more than ever that God knew exactly who I needed when He gave me Chad. This life with him is more than I knew to ask for.

Chad, these have been the best 13 years of my life. I love being your wife, raising our children with you, and building a life with Jesus at the center. Even with a house full of people, you still make me feel like your favorite. 🤍

Thousands of people from Meitei, Naga and other indigenous communities took to the streets across Imphal, Senapati and Chandel on October 31, demanding government accountability amid continuing unrest in Manipur. The rallies were organised by civil society groups, with protesters calling for the scrapping of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with Kuki militant groups.

The protesters also demanded the withdrawal of Assam Rifles from conflict-affected areas, the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) using 1951 as the base year, and the safe resettlement of internally displaced families. Organisers accused the authorities of failing to protect indigenous communities and restore lasting peace.

At a public convention in Imphal, the rally adopted resolutions demanding the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, warning that the state government should resign if the demand was not met. The demonstrations come amid renewed tensions in a state that has been grappling with ethnic violence since May 2023.

boo!

The last time I saw my teacher, Ms. Krauter, was January 2007. I’ll never forget standing outside her classroom, room 317, during my senior year. I had just gotten into my 3rd fight, and she was standing at the door waiting for me. She told me they were having a meeting to expel me and that I needed to tell my mom to transfer me out before the meeting.

I was in my LAST semester of high school. After almost four years of hard work, I was facing losing everything I had worked for, including my scholarships.

I didn’t get to graduate with my classmates. I missed my senior prom. And the hardest part was knowing that I had gotten into a fight I didn’t even want to fight.

I allowed someone else to control my emotions, and it cost me something I could never get back. That experience taught me a lesson I’ve carried with me for the last 19 years. NEVER give someone else so much power over your emotions that their actions determine your future.
Even today, whether it’s social media or real life, I have to remind myself of that. People will provoke you, disrespect you, use you for clout, or try to pull you into whatever they’re going through. And sometimes you’ll have EVERY reason to respond. Trust me, I be having A LOT to say. But I’ve learned that just because you have something to say doesn’t mean it’s the time to say it.

I recently heard Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell say, “There is a time to defend yourself and there is a time to be silent.”
WHEW! That spoke to me.

I pray constantly for the wisdom to know the difference. Because sometimes protecting your peace, your purpose, and everything you’ve worked for is more important than proving a point.

So if there’s ONE thing you take from my story, let it be this: Don’t let someone else’s behavior control how YOU show up in this world. One moment of emotion can cost you years of hard work.

To all the TEACHERS around the world, I want y’all to know WE LOVE YOU! ❤️ Sometimes you don’t get the recognition you deserve but your words, your patience, your encouragement, and the seeds you plant are NOT wasted.
