🎧 We took apart 14 Bluetooth headphones and scored them on repairability. Only one really nails it: the Fairphone Fairbuds XL, with a perfect 10/10.
A battery you can swap without tools, a fully modular headband, spare parts availability, a full set of online guides. The rest of the pack? Plenty of glued batteries and soldered charging ports. Even premium options like the AirPods Max top out at 4/10.
Bottom line: repairing your headphones is doable. Now we just need the manufacturers to play along.
