I spend so much of my time documenting the beginnings of a couple’s journey, but being part of a vow renewal reminded me just how beautiful it is to witness a love that has been lived, tested, and chosen for over twenty years.

Listening to @jyotika and @actorsuriya speak about choosing each other through the difficult moments, with humour, love and reverence, and continuing to show up for one another, had everyone in tears, including me. ☺️

It’s only seemed fitting to include a little throwback to the film of where they fell in love , bringing a symbolic piece of where their story began on screen into a celebration of the life they’ve built since. Like it all came a full circle 🥹

In my conversations with Jyotika, I’d heard how much the people gathered for this celebration meant to them, and the role they’d played in their journey together. To then be there, surrounded by those very people and feeling all that warmth and love, was like being wrapped in a ginormous hug.

I may not have been part of their story all these years, but being entrusted with this chapter and getting a little glimpse into their life off cameras is something I’ll carry with me always.

Jyotika and Suriya, thank you for trusting me with these memories, for yourselves and for everyone who has been part of your journey.

And Jo, a very happy birthday to you, beautiful 🌹. Here’s a little gift from me to you. I hope this film takes you back to the people, the promises, and all the love that surrounded you that day, for years to come.

Here’s to all the beautiful chapters still to come, and to continuing to choose each other through every one of them.

Jan Brady Is Ready To Spread Some Halloween Spirit

Decades after The Brady Bunch, Jan Brady is getting into the Halloween spirit with a new wig, missing candy and, naturally, another complaint about Marcia. Between stolen Charleston Chews and a “horror show” of a year, she still found time to wish fans a happy Halloween—and invite them to join her for a spooky Cameo.

can this be like everyday?

✧Tokyo, 1986. During his holiday in Japan with Jim Hutton, Freddie sat down with Midori Tsukagoshi for an interview with Music Life magazine, photographed by Koh Hasebe.

☁︎The papers he’s holding up in these photographs? His shopping list which, he explained with laughter, ran to nine or ten pages. ♡

✧In the shared English translation of the interview, Freddie described buying twenty to thirty hibachi, traditional charcoal heaters, prompting everyone to ask what exactly he intended to do with so many. His purchases also included artwork, kimonos, tansu chests, silver sake kettles and a silver teapot.

☁︎The accompanying shopping list gives an even fuller glimpse: lacquer candlesticks, Japanese chests, a Buddhist temple table, a sword stand, lacquer tables, and Cartier lighters and pens. There was plenty destined for Garden Lodge.

✧He also spoke about staying in a traditional Japanese inn in Kyoto for the first time, sleeping comfortably on a futon and bathing in a hinoki cypress-wood tub. Its resemblance to an enormous sake cup had inspired him to joke about pouring sake into it and, after being told it was good for the skin, he decided to try it. 🤭

☁︎Alongside those funny holiday recollections, the conversation turned to what mattered most to him. Freddie spoke about music being his life, his confidence in his work, and how he could still find happiness helping other musicians through his experience and ideas.

✧A shopping list several pages long, laughter over his purchases, and a few words about the music at the centre of his life, all part of the conversation behind these photographs.

📖 Interview: Midori Tsukagoshi for Music Life, 1986. Interview details paraphrased from the English translation shared by Freddie Mercury & Queen Daily; shopping-list details from the accompanying post.

Saya 🥩🥩 fake bl00d!!!
different post from usual cause I never post selfies??? 🫪🫪 but I loved cosplaying Saya today so I had to before releasing the actual pics!!
this is a different type of character than the others I usually cosplay but I wanted to try, since Saya no uta it’s amongst the VN that I always recommend reading!
this cosplay was really rushed and the location too, so we couldn’t do much, but some pics really turned out great, besides all the problems and having to put fake bl00d multiple times, I had fun! can’t wait to show you all the picsss ❤️ thanks to my love @reddot_in_allblack who lent it to me!
