[LONG READ, plz read] I’m taking my talents to Hawaii, ya’ll!! My recent research — constructing a conceptual model of seeing TikTok’s sound borrowing through the lens of Aristotle — was accepted into The Literacy Research Association Conference being held in HAWAII of all places!! But to add to this, I’m using my students as the examples of how this work becomes meaning making in real life. What started as them just trusting me to do all of the weird and odd nerdy English things is now turning into publications and presentations. I owe so much to them and if nothing else - I’m always working to remind them that their work MATTERS and its center stage worthy. Forever and ever to my dawgs!
