A woman who knows exactly who she is and isn’t interested in making herself smaller to make anyone else comfortable. 🔥

I spent enough years of my life worrying about what other people thought.
How I looked, what I wore, whether I was too much or not enough.

And here’s what I’ve discovered. The older I get, the less interested I am in asking for permission to be myself.🎤

I still want to feel beautiful. I still want to feel sexy. I still want to turn a few heads. 😂 And why shouldn’t I?

I’m 56, not finished.💥

If that’s dangerous, consider yourself warned. 😎🔥

And I hope every woman reading this knows that she has every right to take up space, feel beautiful, be sexy, and enjoy every bit of her life. We have so much living left to do, ladies! 🔥

San Jose official visit 💙💛 I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity and so thankful to have received an offer from San Jose! This weekend was such an amazing experience, and I loved getting to spend time with Coach Joanne, Coach Tucker, Coach Neal, and all the girls. Thank you for being so welcoming and making this weekend so special!

A huge thank you to my parents for always believing in me, supporting me, and never giving up on me as I continue to chase my dreams. I’m also so grateful to my current coaches at Incline for helping me grow as a gymnast and getting me to where I am today. None of this would be possible without the people who have supported me along the way. Feeling so blessed and giving all the glory to God! I’m beyond thankful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 💙💛 #SpartanStrong #officialvisit #D1 #gymnastics

For years, I was afraid of what people might think of me. ❤️

I worried about being judged, about people not understanding me, and about what would happen if I showed this side of myself to the world.

And looking back, I realize how much time I spent worrying about things that hadn’t even happened yet.

Accepting myself didn’t happen overnight. It took time to become comfortable with who I am, to stop questioning whether it was okay to enjoy the things I love, and to realize that I don’t need everyone’s approval to be happy.

I’m a guy who loves dressing up, doing makeup, wearing heels and expressing a feminine side of myself. And for a long time, I struggled with accepting that those things could simply be part of who I am.

But here’s something I’ve learned along the way: you don’t have to fit into someone else’s expectations to be happy with yourself. 💕

And I think that’s something so many of us struggle with, whether it’s about how we look, what we wear, who we love, or simply being a little different from what others expect.

These days, I’m much more comfortable being Julia. I go shopping, go out, meet new people and enjoy moments I once thought I’d never have the confidence to experience.

Of course, I still have insecurities. We all do. But I’m no longer letting the fear of being judged decide what I can or cannot enjoy.

If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be this:
Don’t spend so much of your life worrying about what other people might think. You deserve to enjoy being yourself, too. ❤️

And if you’re reading this while struggling with accepting a part of yourself, whatever that may be, I hope you’ll give yourself the time and kindness you deserve.

Life is too short to hide the things that make you happy. 🥹💕

What’s something you’ve learned about accepting yourself as you’ve gotten older? ✨
