You have seen a thousand versions of me since I was 15. As much as I hate you some days, I love you triple the amount. You hold some of the best memories of my life as well as some of the darkest days but you taught me how to survive, and how to be myself in a world that constantly judges how people ‘should’ live their lives… no other place on earth could have done that. You helped shape who I am today and I won’t ever regret choosing you as my home.

Thank you for your coastlines, mountains, valleys, flatlands, caves, forests, wildfires, earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes- literally and metaphorically. I love you with all that I am 🇺🇸❤️‍🔥
