A bit over a week ago, i had an unexplained fever that wouldn’t go away. No meds broke it. I had no other symptoms. Just an insane fever. Somehow, i managed to show up and work 11hrs on that sunday. By then, i was covered in hives and my fever had hit 103.5. Monday i showed up to work and had to leave early bc my chills and shakes were uncontrollable…

Thank god i took my ass to urgent care as soon as i left. Xrays showed bilateral pneumonia. Urine was straight proteins and blood. And when they checked me in, my fever was 104.6.

I met all the criteria for SIRS and doc suspected i was septic. Fluids and drugs regulated my vitals, and lactic acid test came back normal so sepsis was unlikely. After most of the night in the ED, they let me leave.

Monday night was the first full shower in 5 days. It was sublime. Yesterday was my first real meal in over a week…after the nightmare of loading up my car.

Drove 14 hrs and made it to my sisters house in Virginia. I cant wait to sleep for the next 10 years. Lol

Not how i wanted to end my last week in milwaukee, but so thankful for the coworkers who got me through that call shift and the one who was force feeding me water on that monday morning before i left. Angels in disguise. Lol. Next stop, YUMA, AZ! ❤️
