Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam (The Beginning of an Investigation) is a 2024 Malayalam-language investigative crime thriller directed by M.A. Nishad. The film centers around the mysterious disappearance of Jeevan Thomas, a fearless and hard-hitting social media journalist based in Kottayam. His sudden vanishing act sends shockwaves through the media community, the public, and law enforcement agencies alike, triggering a high-stakes investigation to track down his whereabouts.

As the Crime Branch takes over the case and digs deeper into the inquiry, the narrative unfolds through a series of complex twists, political angles, and hidden secrets. Featuring an ensemble cast including Shine Tom Chacko, Vani Viswanath, and Samuthirakani, the movie explores the dark underbelly of media influence and institutional corruption.
