Chronic back pain is a daily reality for many people living with scoliosis. And even after surgery, recovery doesn’t end at the hospital. Healing takes months, sometimes years. One challenge people rarely talk about? Sitting comfortably for hours.

As someone living with scoliosis and recovering from spine surgery, I’ve learned that the right support changes more than your posture. It changes your quality of life.

Seven months into my recovery, I was still relying on a fentanyl patch just to keep the pain down. Long workdays meant stiffness, muscle fatigue, and pain that lingered for hours even with medication. That’s when I started using my Sihoo ergonomic chair. The lumbar support and full adjustability eased the strain on my spine. I could sit longer, focus better, and end my day with no pain.

As founder of Scoliosis Philippines, my days are full. Meetings, advocacy campaigns, patient support, proposals, forging partnerships, and developing policies to improve scoliosis care nationwide. Being able to do all of this pain free, and tapering on meds to get through the day, has been life-changing. It didn’t just improve my headspace. It gave me the freedom to focus on my mission instead of my physical limitations.

That’s why I’m deeply grateful to SIHOO Ergonomics by TWU for partnering with Scoliosis Philippines. This collaboration is more than ergonomic chairs. It’s a shared belief: people with scoliosis deserve support that protects their health, comfort, and productivity.

Beyond the awareness month together, we’re collaborating about scoliosis, spine health, and why proper ergonomics matters at work and in everyday life. Because when you live with chronic pain, even small improvements are significant.

Thank you, SIHOO, for believing in our mission and standing with the scoliosis community. Together, we’re creating a future where everyone with scoliosis has the support to heal, thrive, and live life to the fullest.
