On Wednesday I was fortunate enough to be given an Honorary title of “Doctor of Arts” by @bathspauni and I couldn’t be more grateful! Firstly, I’d like to start by saying congratulations to everyone who I met yesterday and anyone at all who has graduated this year. Also, to anyone who has worked for an actual doctorate this is by no means anywhere near as impressive as anything you have done or achieved, nor will I pretend it is, serious hats off to you all. When I got offered this opportunity my initial reaction was disbelief; as I wondered why I deserved such a privilege. I even questioned accepting due to the over consuming imposter syndrome. However, that is a feeling I’ve felt a lot over the last few years and the opportunities I’ve been able to experience because of that feeling of “why me?” have been the best of my life. So, I accepted despite that feeling due to one main reason. When I was at uni (and to an extent to this day) I feared judgement. I knew I wanted to make videos because I’d watched them for years and had a desire that I’d not felt for anything else before; but I didn’t act on it because it wasn’t comfortable and I was scared what people would think. That feeling hasn’t left, rather it’s become easier to deal with the more I branch outside of my comfort zone. Appearing on other people’s channels, dancing and public speaking would’ve felt even more alien to the version of me that hadn’t yet started posting and putting himself out of his comfort zone. So I accepted because if any 1 person resonated with that maybe they could take a bit of a leap themselves. I don’t think I’m the best or most talented content creator around and I don’t class myself as “successful”. However, to me that shows you don’t have to have it all figured out or be the final article to give it a go. It was a true honour and a privilege to be considered and one hell of a side quest. So thanks again to Bath Spa University and to you all for allowing me to have a job I wake up daily wondering how I got so lucky. (Honorary)Dr. Clarkey x

Quero te agradecer por sua sinceridade. Você sabe o quanto a verdade é importante pra mim. Todos nós cometemos erros. Isso é humano. O seu gesto de vir a público para pedir desculpas tem muito valor, e poucos homens teriam coragem de fazer isso. Eu sei que os dias não estão fáceis pra nós, para nossas famílias e para milhões de brasileiros que esperam por dias melhores. Para cumprirmos grandes missões, o nosso coração precisa estar limpo e livre para que novas histórias sejam construídas. Histórias baseadas na verdade, no respeito e na esperança. Existe um Brasil esperando para ser reconstruído e tenho certeza de que todos nós podemos unir forças para levarmos isso adiante. Vamos fazer isso pelo meu marido e seu pai, e por cada um dos brasileiros que querem um Brasil melhor para seus filhos e netos. O nosso propósito pelo bem do povo sempre foi maior do que desentendimentos. Por isso, aceito seu pedido: Eu te desculpo. Vamos sentar, conversar, ajustar os detalhes e, juntos, vamos reunir um grande exército de pessoas de bem para resgatarmos o Brasil. Façamos isso pelo nosso maior líder, Jair Bolsonaro; por essas famílias brasileiras que eu encontrei enquanto percorria o país instalando o PL Mulher, e por um Brasil que precisa de gente de pé, não de gente dividida.
