Here's what took me way too long to learn.
1. Bust is not equal to valuable. Visibility of your work matters as much as the work itself.
2. Your first "Yes" sets your reputation. Choose it wisely.
3. Silence is not approval. Ask for feedback before it is too late.
4. Stop comparing your Chapter 1 to their Chapter 10
5. Not networking is expensive.
