We get asked all the time why we left YouTube and honestly, the jury is still out on if or how we will return.
What many people don’t know is that the red app was both a blessing and a burden.
It was a blessing because it introduced us to gifts we didn’t know we had. It stretched us creatively, opened doors we never imagined and showed us what we carry.
But it was also a burden.
We were trying to build a marriage while simultaneously building a platform. We were trying to find our voice while the world expected us to already have one. Bringing a marriage we were still nurturing into the public eye came with a weight we simply weren’t prepared for.
Stepping away wasn’t quitting; it was choosing to protect what mattered most.
Now, being in ministry, everything feels different. The call is clearer. The cost is clearer. The purpose is clearer.
We no longer create or serve with ourselves at the centre. We create for the Kingdom and for His glory.
And there is something deeply healing about witnessing God use the very thing that once drove a wedge between us to bring us back together in purpose.
God wastes nothing.
