As I sit down to write this, I’m realizing that “thank you” doesn’t even begin to cover what this year has meant to me.
Serving as your 2025–2026 State Secretary has been the opportunity of a lifetime. I had the chance to travel across our state, visit chapters, meet incredible people, and see firsthand what makes this association so special. I started this year hoping to leave an impact, but somewhere along the way, every person I met left one on me instead.
To the members, thank you for reminding me why I fell in love with FFA in the first place. Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, every chapter visit, every workshop, and every memory we made together. Watching you step outside your comfort zones, take on new challenges, and continue writing your own stories has been the best part of this year. I hope you never stop saying yes to the opportunities that scare you, because you never know where they’ll lead.
To my team, thank you for being the people I got to share this crazy year with. Thank you for every mile on the road, every late-night debrief, every inside joke, every stressful moment, and every memory that somehow made the long days worth it. There’s no one else I would’ve wanted beside me through this journey, and I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together.
When I joined FFA as a freshman, I honestly didn’t know if this organization was for me. Looking back now, it’s hard to believe how much can change when you’re willing to accept a challenge. What started as one decision became the place where I found lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a version of myself I never knew was possible.
As this chapter comes to a close, I’m reminded that none of our stories are finished yet. This year may be one chapter, but there’s still so much left to write. I can’t wait to see where your stories take you next.
Thank you, Maryland FFA, for trusting me to serve this association. This blue jacket has given me more than I could’ve ever asked for, and I’ll carry this year and the blue and gold with me wherever life takes me.
