Aftermath Day 3 BTS!🩵🩷

We started day 3 of production filming all of our exterior scenes in a parking lot at the Humber campus while our amazing art department worked tirelessly setting up at the studio where we would soon be moving to later that day. We got lots of strange looks from onlookers, and our sound department faced some pretty crazy challenges considering there was an active construction site right next to us, but overall we pulled through and were very lucky with good weather so therefore good vibes overall :)

We then moved over to the Humber studio where we filmed all of the most stylized, experimental and visually striking scenes in the film. This involved the building and dressing of three different sets: a dining room, a bedroom and a birthday party. The filming turnaround between the three sets was tight and therefore our art department had to work cleverly and “flip” the dining room set into the bedroom set while we filmed all of our party scenes in the next room. It was a bit of a song and dance but everyone did a really great job🥹 we got some really, really beautiful footage this day.

We also filmed some of our heaviest scenes this day. It was really lovely having our amazing intimacy coordinator, @intimacycoordination_by_brynn on set to help alleviate some of the weight many of us were feeling and help establish a safe and calming atmosphere on our last day of filming. Aftermath was inherently a heavy film to make due to its subject matter, and as much fun as we had on set, there were also some very serious and emotionally draining moments during its production. That sort of thing is unfortunately inevitable when making a film like this. We are so genuinely grateful to our entire cast and crew for their extremely hard work and dedication to making this film happen, even in moments where things felt heavy or like just a lot. It was a challenging shoot for many reasons but it was so beautiful to watch how much love was put into this film in so many different areas and how everyone really just gave it their fucking all. Thank you so much to all of you. So much love❤️

And thank you so much once again to @julialaxerr for the amazing BTS🫶

Intimacy coordinators are a necessary component of filmmaking! Brynn brings a lot of experience and fun to every set!
