Elsker I også efteråret? 🤎

Jeg elsker faktisk de forskellige årstider og alt det, de hver især bringer med sig. Efteråret er noget helt særligt med strik, stearinlys og hyggelige stunder indendørs.

Hvilken årstid er jeres favorit?

Another big workout day in the bank.

Part two of my marathon prep with @drinknomio is coming soon to YouTube.

Might be a few familiar faces in this one 👀

This has been weighing on me for the past couple of years, and this morning I saw something that compelled me to share some thoughts.

Today I woke up to watch disc golf, and I immediately noticed that there was some work being done on the historic slave quarters at Ivy Hill.

A little over two years ago, I was playing the 2024 Disc Golf World Championships and I noticed that on one of the courses holes 5 and 6 featured an unmarked slave quarters. The dwelling was recorded through census as a slave quarters as early as 1850. After meeting with historians, the plan was to adjust those holes and to document and preserve the building and its valuable history. Several contact attempts were made, but all course contacts (including one dg course designer) would not respond. To this day, holes 5 and 6 are still placed alongside the quarters at some of the biggest events disc golf has to offer.

The reason this bothers me so much is because our sport had an opportunity to take a moment, have some conversations, and treat this sensitive situation and the dwelling itself with the respect it deserves.

I love disc golf. I love the sense of community that it gives me, and I would love to see people all around the world finding the same joy that it brings me. I want to see a competitive scene where careers can not only sprout, but flourish. I truly believe that these hopes are not mine alone, and I know in my heart that they are more than possible. I also believe that with the support of community this sport can absolutely blossom.

This is all to say, as a community we need to be able to listen to issues that arise, and have those conversations in order to implement changes at the root. Changes that we have the power to make if we come together as players, fans and sponsors.

Disc golf is global and as a sport is reaching the “big screen”. What I’m asking is can we come together as a whole in order to make the sport better for future generations?

If I can put yall onto one thing… it’s this! I always use @laxvaletservice when traveling. It’s the BESSTTTTTT! ✈️

Pull up to ur door, hand your keys to valet and when you arrive back, ur car will pick you up at your door! It’s soooo convenient! And you never have to worry about your car while you’re away.

This is one service I will never get rid of, it’s soooo good! Have you ever tried @laxvaletservice ?? 🤍

You can see the moment I understood the joke

Out playing as an adult. I look different but feel the same.

I came down to my meadow to photograph this new outfit and found my outside locker had blown over and I got that childhood urge to walk along it. My mobility is rubbish but I did it anyway, slow and steady and it was just fun.

Ok at 47 with impaired mobility it felt riskier and very high up and also a bit death defying. It wasn’t 😂 but I had fun and in the half an hour I came outside to photograph this fit I frolicked and enjoyed my own company just playing in my own way. It was just what my chronically ill self needed before retiring back to my couch nest.

Why do we stop playing? Are you still inclined to walk along the top of a wall or whatever silly thing you did without thinking as a kid ‘just because’ and it was fun?
