💙 One Fresh One Frozen 💙

Down a rabbit hole of looking at videos of my Nanna and Bamps. It took me years to be able to watch them without feeling so sad. Now I look back at them and am just so grateful that I have them. I saw this video and almost can’t believe how long it took me to accept my Nanna had dementia. My mother had been drip feeding the suggestion of it to me for months, if not years before I finally accepted it 🥺 It’s a cruel disease but I still say we were lucky that even at the very end, there were still parts of my Nanna still there and it didn’t take her completely. We definitely made the most of a bad situation and even she laughed at herself a lot, which is all you can do I guess? I’ve been crying laughing at this video tonight - they were the best double act and I hope they’re having a whisky together somewhere tonight as they always did before bed ❤️💙 #dementia #vasculardementia #missedeveryday❤️ #nannaandbampa
