Father God, Thank You for giving us the most amazing companion we could’ve ever asked for. We were blessed with 17 years of so much love and happiness.

Anyone who was blessed to meet you knew how gentle, loving, and amazing you were.

I’ll never forget the times when I was younger and would put on a winter jacket just to wrestle with you on the floor so I wouldn’t end up with marks on my arms and get yelled at by Mom. Or when you, a 40-pound pup, and I, around 13 years old, would chase after any bear that stepped foot on our property in Sparta. Or when you knew I was sad and would lay next to me for hours when no one else had any idea what I was going through.

Growing up, we’d joke around saying, “You’re just a dog,” but you were so much more than that. You were our sister, our friend, a Fletcher, and you had so much of our hearts.

You are the reason I wanted to get Cruz and become a dad to such an amazing puppy. I wanted another best friend just like you, and he definitely is.

Words could never explain how much we love you, Zoey. We will never forget that smile. I can’t wait to play with you again one day ❤️
