UPDATE! Reality TV personality Mackayla Paige, known as “Kash,” was shot and killed in downtown Oakland, and police say her own sister has now been charged in connection with her death. According to Oakland police, 38-year-old Vernika Dunbar was trying to pistol-whip a woman who was fighting with Kash when the gun accidentally fired, striking and killing her sister. Dunbar has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, assault with a firearm and gun-related offenses. The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near 14th and Harrison streets, close to Cave Lounge. Kash, 29, was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries. Police have not publicly explained what started the confrontation. #Kash was known for appearances on reality shows including “Real West Coast Baddies,” “Room H8z” and “Young & Reckless.” Reality TV personality Mackayla “Kash” Paige has died at age 29 after a fatal shooting in downtown Oakland, California. Best known for her appearances on the digital network Now That’s TV—including shows like Young & Reckless, RoomH8z, and Real West Coast Baddies—her network and fans confirmed and mourned her passing following the tragic incident. The Oakland Police Department responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, on the 200 block of 14th Street in downtown Oakland. Officers arrived at the scene and found Paige, a resident of Richmond, California, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Though first responders attempted lifesaving measures at the scene, she was rushed to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Oakland investigators have arrested a woman in connection with the shooting. The suspect is also a resident of Richmond, California. As of Monday morning, authorities have not publicly released the suspect’s name, detail specific charges, or confirmed a clear motive for the violence.
For her 8th birthday, we gave our daughter her very own @landiephone and it is officially the “best gift ever” (her words 🙈) But honestly? The gift we received as parents might be even greater. The house is now constantly filled with the sound of her giggling into the receiver as she chats endlessly with grandparents, cousins, and friends. There is something so magical about watching her enter a phase of childhood we didn’t think our children would ever get to experience. The nostalgic simplicity of creating space for authentic human connection, while safely building independence has meant more to us than we ever anticipated 🥹 The cord twirling, the kicking feet, the giggles… it’s a little piece of the 90’s we didn’t know we were missing. ❤️ #landie #landlinephone #90skid #familyconnection
Porsche unveiled its next supercar on Thursday, just hours before Tesla’s Roadster flew over a row of cars in Texas. The Mission S concept debuted that afternoon on a pier in Queens, New York, while Tesla’s livestreamed reveal took over headlines that night. The Mission S previews a mid engine supercar that Porsche says will sit above the 911 as a permanent part of its lineup, not a limited run hypercar. Its design pulls from classic race cars like the 911 GT1 and 917, and the cabin keeps screens to a minimum with five round gauges and a physical tachometer needle. Porsche hasn’t shared pricing, a release date or what’s powering it, though German newspaper Handelsblatt reported last month that it could be the first road going Porsche with a flat eight engine. The two reveals took very different approaches, with Porsche leaning into its racing history and Tesla focused on flight. #porsche #tesla #memes #viral #cars
Some autistic kids don’t understand when a request is genuinely impossible: ▪️Asking for a broken object to work exactly the way it did before ▪️Asking for a food or product that is completely sold out ▪️Asking to go somewhere that is closed ▪️Asking to bring back an item that was lost and cannot be found ▪️Asking for the weather to change ▪️Asking to make a character in a book or video do something different ▪️Asking to make a pet behave in a very specific way on command ▪️Asking to make someone stop crying, coughing, or making another involuntary sound Repeated attempts to help them achieve the impossible can keep hope alive and ultimately make the disappointment BIGGER. So when the request is impossible, show them you understand what they want, then be clear that it cannot happen. Your job is not to prevent disappointment, it’s to give clear information and help them through it. In therapy, kids can practice accepting an alternative after a small, less-important request cannot be met. Over time, kids can build more flexibility, tolerate disappointment, and learn what to do when the answer truly cannot change 💙 #autism #autistic #autismawareness #autismacceptance #neurodivergent
