Introducing PLAN X RECORDS, a new home for straight edge hardcore music. PX001 releases tonight at Midnight, on Edge Day, from a brand new band: @alivesxe. I have been straight edge since I was 14 years old, and I’ve never thought twice, looked back, OR thought myself above or better than anyone. But what I do know is that in a world that teaches us to numb ourselves, straight edge taught me how to feel. In a culture that profits from our continuous destruction, it can be the ultimate weapon… Against apathy, against excess, and most importantly, against the slow surrender of the self. I have never understood the notion that we must poison our minds to escape our reality, we need only the strength to change it. There’s always a better way. Initiate Plan X. President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Michigan this Sunday, October 25, for a campaign rally in Port Huron, just nine days before the November 3 midterm elections. The rally will take place at McMorran Place Arena in downtown Port Huron, located in St. Clair County. Doors are scheduled to open at 11:30 a.m., with Trump expected to deliver remarks beginning at 3 p.m. The president is visiting Michigan to support Republican candidates as the party works to gain support ahead of the upcoming elections. Port Huron officials say the event will mark the first presidential visit in the city’s and St. Clair County’s history. Michigan remains a major focus for both political parties heading into November. Trump won the state in both the 2016 and 2024 presidential elections. The president’s visit comes just days after Vice President JD Vance held a campaign rally in Monroe on October 15.
TEN YEARS LEER 🥂 Yesterday, we celebrated our 10 year anniversary! This admittedly feels unbelievable. How are we not those young kids in the first photo?! Before we left home for a concert, we read the cards we wrote to each other. Common theme: we individually feel like we have each completely lucked out in this arrangement. There’s probably something to that, but I’m no expert. I’m just stupidly in love with @williamleer and I am so grateful he loves me back!
𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐒: 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖𝐒 I was looking forward to all the spooky thrillers, cozy fiction and paranormal romance reads in October, and my list of earcs didn't disappoint. My recommendations? 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐄𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 is a blend of romance, magical realism and a whole lot of heart in this story about Analise who keeps ties to her uncle through his vintage leather jacket and the people she befriends who help her learn to live again. 𝐁𝐀𝐃 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒 is a beautifully written contemporary fiction x romance book about an author, a book critic and a viral literary feud. Smart, funny and emotionally layered and with biting banter, this October GMA book club pick should be on your list. Biggest disappointment? 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 was a chaotic, confusing sequel to The Time Traveller's Wife that follows Alba, who, like her father, travels through time unreliably. This book takes on A LOT but ultimately lacks the charm and love story that made the original so special. ➡️ to see the full reviews: ✍️ BAD WORDS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 | Contemporary Romance 📆 Oct 6 St Martins Press 🌒 SOLAR ECLIPSE OF THE HEART ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Romance/Magical Realism 📆 Oct 6 St Dial Press 🚘 DIVE BAR AT THE END OF THE ROAD ⭐️⭐️⭐️| Supernatural Horror/Thriller 📆 Oct 6 St Martins Press ⏳️ LIFE OUT OF ORDER ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫| Magical Realism 📆 Oct 6 Knopf Canada 👻 ENTITIES TO LOVERS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️| Paranormal Romcom 📆 Oct 13 Berkley 🏰 PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫| Gothic Mystery 📆 Oct 13 Atria ❔️ MISSING MOLLY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️| Psychological Thriller 📆 Oct 20 Sourcebooks Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me an opportunity to be an advanced reader! 💭 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏 𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇? #minis #minireviews #bookreviews #octoberreleases #newbooks
