Every family seems to have one person who proudly says, “We’re not getting a cat.” Most of the time, it’s Dad. He insists the cat isn’t allowed on the furniture, says he doesn’t want the responsibility, and claims he’ll have nothing to do with it. Everyone knows how the story ends. The dad who didn’t want a cat becomes the person most obsessed with it. He’ll deny it every chance he gets, but his camera roll is full of cat photos, he knows exactly what every meow means, and he somehow becomes the first person the cat looks for every morning.
