To everyone who sent a message, a call, a voice note, a memory, a prayer, a song, or simply a quiet thought in my direction — thank you. Most especially thank you to my circle that made it possible to have an 'unexpected" Parisian weekend.
Birthdays have a way of reminding you exactly who is in your corner, and mine is fuller than I sometimes remember to notice. I am grateful, deeply, for each of you.
For a long time, I confused holding it together with healing. I thought if I could analyse a story, draw its shape, and name its silences, my heart would obediently fall in line. It doesn't. Thank God. My heart is smarter than my strategy, and it knows the difference between truly letting go and only looking like I have.
I have been my own most loyal companion for a long time. I just didn't always give myself the credit. My birthday gift to myself this year is this: to stop treating my own attention as a consolation prize, and to start treating it as the main event.
A year ago, I published
#TheNakedTruthAt40 as a declaration that unsaid words rot the spirit, and that honest living is the only way I know how to move. For months, some of you have carried those digital pages, found your own stories in mine, and asked when you'd finally be able to hold the words in your hands.
I'm so happy to share that the print edition of Book 1 will (finally) officially come out this year.
Holding a physical copy will feel full circle,
a tangible reminder that from every heavy flight, every long silence, and every quiet afternoon in a borrowed room, something durable gets made. You cannot print a ghost. But you can print the truth of a woman who chose herself.
Release dates, pre-orders, and launch details to follow.
Thank you for walking this road with me. Here's to forty-one and to everything still on fire.
