⚓️ WEEKEND SERIES RECAP ⚓️
Your Bartonville Mariners battled hard all weekend against the Tazewell County Renegades, earning a split in an exciting two-game series.
Game 1: ⚓️ Mariners 5 | Renegades 2
The Mariners struck first and never looked back, combining timely hitting with solid pitching and lockdown defense to secure the opening game of the series. The boys played clean baseball from start to finish and set the tone with a complete team effort. Mariners CF #24 Ryan Dunne was able to launch an absolute moonshot over the right center field fence on their half of the 3rd inning.
Game 2: ⚓️ Mariners 6 | Renegades 7
Game 2 turned into a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final innings. The Mariners fought until the very end, rallying offensively and refusing to quit, but came up just one run short in a hard-fought contest. It was a hard fought marathon until the very last out, with the Mariners just coming up short leaving the tying run on third.
The Mariners finish the weekend with another strong showing and continue to prove that this club will compete every time they take the field.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Historic Woodruff Park to support us and to those who followed along from home. Your support means everything to our organization.
We’ll take the positives, get back to work, and be ready for the next challenge.
⚓️ FULL SAIL. ONE TEAM. ONE MISSION.
