Some of you have watched HOEMONAL so it is time for you to meet the producer of the show - @kimsharmaofficial . This show became a household name, something I became known for, something that sold more than 5000 tickets in Bangalore and the first to be on the NMACC grand theatre, AND to top it all taking Hoemonal to @netflixisajoke festival in LA (first from our side of the hemisphere to do it FTW) all thanks to this mad scientist. It’s been hugs, tears, laughs, disappointments and then laughs again before it became the special that it is now. These 2 years have been a femininomenon. It’s been Hoemonal for #WeTwo. ♥️ thanks kim! On my way to see you. Sorry running 10 mins late. So much traffic 👀 @netflix_in

This giant 14” Ghanaian djembe is courtesy of the lovely people at @siestacrafts. A fabulous Fair Trade company dealing in hand made instruments and so many more amazing artisan handicrafts and gifts 🙌🏻 There’s a real range to these drums. A light tap near the edge gives you a high, sharp note, and a flat hand in the middle gives you that deep bass you can feel in your chest. And God, it’s a beautiful thing to hold. Your hands move over the carved wood without thinking, every ridge telling you a person made this, not a machine. I sat here for a while, just letting one beat run into the next. Deeply good fun, and genuinely cathartic to be carried along by a rhythm like that. Handmade in Ghana, carved from fast-growing cedar with a thick goat skin head, responsibly sourced. Made by hand, by people who clearly know what they’re doing 💛 #Djembe #Drumming #Ghana #HandmadeDrums #SiestaCrafts
