Navaratri Day 2 | Maa Brahmacharini 🪷

Today, we honor Maa Brahmacharini, the embodiment of devotion, sacred discipline, and unwavering love for the Divine.

Her form holds a very special place in my heart. Those who know me deeply may understand why. I have always felt a profound attraction to the life of the monastery and brahmacharya, to a life of simplicity, devotion, and dedication to something greater than oneself. It is something I deeply admire and continue to carry within my heart with reverence.

Her strength is quiet. Her power lies not in conquering the world, but in mastering herself.

She reminds us that femininity is not only softness and beauty, but also tapasya, the sacred fire of discipline, the courage to walk a path with unwavering faith, and the capacity to surrender one’s heart completely to the Divine.

May we learn to honor the sacred within us and remember that some of the purest forms of love are expressed through devotion, discipline, and surrender.

Jai Maa Brahmacharini 🙏🏼🌸

A bit of retrospective, which also answers a frequently asked question if I have ever cut my hair (this is not the shortest, by the way).
