Honoured to have participated in the recent Ministry of Local Government’s Stakeholder Dialogue on Waste, Landfill, and Sanitation. It was an incredibly insightful experience collaborating on sustainable solutions for our communities.

I didn’t expect to get so emotional in this minute by myself, right before I walked out the door to walk down the aisle.

Here’s to love after heartbreak.

Here’s to not having an imagination for how beautiful your life can be.

Here’s to second chances and new beginnings.

Here’s to doing the work and showing up for your one wonderful life.

I’m still pinching myself that this gets to be my next chapter. So grateful to be here. If your story isn’t how you imagined, know that I see you. It never stays dark forever. Be encouraged today. ❤️❤️❤️

Four years ago, on a drive to the beach, my husband and I started talking about having a third baby. Our youngest was about 10 months old, and we both felt that our family wasn’t done growing. That very next day, less than 24 hours after this conversation, I got the news that would rock our worlds forever….

A brain tumor found on a full body preventative scan. Needless to say, we shifted our priority from growing our family to fighting for my life.

We had no idea what the next few years would hold…

A brain cancer diagnosis. Brain surgery. Breast explant surgery. Cavitation surgery. Treatments, infusions, therapies and so many decisions about caring for my body. Through it all, the desire for another baby never left us. At times it didn’t make worldly sense, but when we prayed we felt like there was another.

We were so grateful for our two boys and knew we could be content if that was what God had for our family. Still, we held onto that little hope.
This year, after several years of clean scans and with my health in a better place, we finally started talking about trying again. Life was full with our boys and building @savanutrition , so I started a preconception protocol and we thought we’d try in the fall.

Then came this summer… and a surprise we weren’t expecting so soon. 🥹 BUT GOD.

After years of wondering whether another pregnancy would be possible, here we were. Pregnant before we’d even reached the timeline we had planned. But we know this child is handpicked by the Lord. His plans are always > than our plans.

We did our best to care for my body through every season, but I give God all the glory for this little life. His timing, His provision, and His goodness have been woven through our story—even when we couldn’t see what was ahead.
So many of y’all have walked with us… I am forever grateful to every single one of you. 🤍
