ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP. When we want fall in a bowl, this is the soup we reach for. Roasting concentrates the sweetness of the squash and—bonus!—saves you lots of chopping.

We made a big batch in the @staub_usa cast iron 7-quart cocotte in our new & exclusive Matte Espresso color. It’s rich, warm and perfectly sized for soups, stews, braises and easy entertaining all season long.

Comment “SOUP” and we’ll DM you the link to the recipe.

27? I wouldn’t go back. Not even for money. Swipe through and you’ll understand why. This isn’t a glow-up. It’s a grow-up.

At 27, I had a young body, a career, plans and energy. But I was also insecure. I compared myself and cared far too much about what other people thought. Then came marriage, three children and years of trying to be a good mother, a good wife and still keep working. I wanted it all. And with three kids, I was often completely overwhelmed.

Then my marriage ended. There were moments when I really was at the bottom. Therapy helped. Training helped. I got angry, questioned a lot and started working on myself, mentally and physically. I still do. Not because I want my younger self back, but because I want to be strong for the life I have now.
Building SOSUE with my sister became part of rebuilding myself too. It gave me purpose, confidence and something that was mine. Today I’m 57. My children are grown, I’m divorced, I’m an entrepreneur, I’m in menopause. I still make mistakes and I’m definitely still a work in progress. But I know myself so much better. I know what matters to me and I care a lot less about what other people think.

I’m grateful for the woman I was at 27. She got me here. But I really like the woman I’m becoming at 57. Maybe aging isn’t about becoming less. Maybe it’s about becoming more yourself. This isn’t a glow-up. It’s a grow-up. And I’m still growing.

Would you honestly want to be 27 again?
