Sunday ā€“ Da din, bas Waheguru ji de naam te simran de naam. šŸŖÆšŸ™ā¤
Belum bisa moveon dari hari itušŸ˜šŸ˜ berasa masyaallah bgt pokoknyaaa. Some feelings are too deep for words. All I know is that my heart was overflowing with gratitude. Those were the most beautiful tears Iā€™ve ever cried. Alhamdulillah, Ya Allah. šŸ„¹šŸ©¶
My Halloween costume this year: ā€œbreak a legā€ -But I took it literally- Iā€™ve always been an overachiever, but I may have taken this one a little too far! This morning, during our completely normal, routine stretches, my femur ā€” the longest and strongest bone in the human body ā€” decided to SNAP like a twig! And just like that, Iā€™ve secured myself another Halloween reservation at the emergency room! For those keeping score, thatā€™s Halloween 2023 AND Halloween 2026. Apparently, I have a favorite holiday destination! šŸ¤£ But on a more educational noteā€¦ One of the lesser-known complications of spinal cord injuries is rapid bone density loss. Paralysis affects SO much more than our ability to walk! Without normal weight-bearing and muscle activity, our bones can become increasingly fragile, sometimes developing osteoporosis. Which means something as innocent as a little morning stretching can turn into a pretty impressive X-ray! But hey, thereā€™s always a silver lining! āœØ Paralysis perk: I canā€™t feel the pain! Life has thrown some pretty interesting curveballs my way over the last three years, but if thereā€™s one thing that hasnā€™t broken, itā€™s my sense of humor! My femur, on the other handā€¦ Happy Halloween, yā€™all! Stay spooky, stay positive, and rememberā€¦ When someone tells you to ā€œbreak a leg,ā€ check your funny bone and remember theyā€™re being HUMERUS!
