Years before my current bid for Senate I already led a campaign in defense for our people’s humanity after hurricanes Irma and Maria with the release of my Paradise film series. At every showing of the films the audience always left inspired by our community’s resilience given our place in US history as the only community to survive two back to back category 5 hurricanes in less than two weeks.
It’s why as Senator I’ll propose legislation that carves out a designation for “Reslience Week”, an annual week long sports, music and arts festival similar to the “Olympics” to not only commemorate our history, but also reinvent our tourism product to be more heritage based while cementing our territory’s global footprint.
