BREAKING: #ManCity will attempt to prove their innocence by arguing that the government of Abu Dhabi part-funded sponsorship deals, rather than the clubโ€™s owners Abu Dhabi United Group - a private company owned by Sheikh Mansour - and as such, no rules were broken. #MCFC's โ€˜irrefutable evidenceโ€™ referred to throughout the Premier League case relates to government bank statements and witness statements presented at the hearing, showing money being transferred to sponsors from government accounts, which was then used by sponsors to pay #ManchesterCity. Despite more than 700 pages of witness statements and a verdict delivered close to two years after a hearing convened in London, @ManCity will argue the Premier League case comes down to one simple question: Did the money used to fund the sponsorship deals in question come from the sponsors, the sponsorsโ€™ owners (the Abu Dhabi government), or the clubโ€™s owners?
