Yay or nay?? And be honest cowboy 🤠

Is there a word for a dream that falls apart just before it becomes reality? 💔
For the past few months, @lindaaa.jm & I have been chasing one big goal: making it into the HYROX Elite 15 Doubles together, and especially qualifying for the first Major of the season: our home Major in Hamburg. Making our Elite 15 debut together with friends and family there to watch felt like the perfect dream💫

We raced 6 doubles races across different countries, putting everything into earning those points. There were ups and downs, but we faced them all together 🤝🏼
And honestly, even off the course, so much of my mind revolved around one question: Will we reach that goal?🙏🏼
It was incredibly close and we didn’t know until the very end if we had enough points. But then we got the spot🥹❤️ All the sweat, tears and hard work had paid off.

Until Friday 💔
Linda was diagnosed with a serious injury after the sudden pain she experienced during our race in Karlsruhe forced us to pull out. We hoped it wouldn’t be anything serious, but unfortunately, the diagnosis was worse than we’d expected (Read Linda’s caption for more details)

My heart breaks for her💔😭
I can’t even imagine how hard this must be for her. I’m wishing her all the strength in the world and I truly believe she’ll come back stronger than ever. She’s a fighter and a true champion ❤️

We don’t know when we’ll stand on that starting line together again. But I have no doubt that one day, we will. Just not this time. We won’t be able to race the Elite 15 Major in Hamburg together and that hurts more than I can put into words 💔
And honestly, right now, I’m not quite sure what comes next for me. The goal I’ve been chasing for months with Linda is suddenly gone and I’m still trying to figure out how to process that.

I’ll still be in Hamburg though, racing Pro Singles on Friday and Open Doubles with Kim on Sunday. I’m looking forward to seeing you all there 🫶🏼

But still, if it already hurts this much for me to let go of our Elite 15 dream in Hamburg, I can only imagine how much harder this must be for Linda❤️‍🩹 Sending her a huge hug and all the strength and energy she needs for a speedy recovery🫂
