pan roast chicken with white balsamic marinated radicchio and a potato rosti

thank you @teds_zaza for the post run pizza

this was a really fun day I had this last week when my friend Teddy was hosting a popup in Brooklyn and the night before I decided I would run from my house to the popup (10 miles) for fun. I had never ran more than 3 miles before in my life so it was a serious challenge and I got to explore some parts of the city I would have never without choosing to do it. this meal is really all about the radicchio, this marinade was something I learned working at my previous restaurant and the flavors just pair perfectly with most proteins. if you can I would definitely suggest marinating for longer so that way the vinegar and sugar really penetrates the radicchio, but I wanted to eat as soon as possible. I got chicken quarters because they are my favorite cut and typically the cheapest by far at any local grocery market and potato because I wanted a really satisfying starch side to this plate. there are so many ways to prepare potatoes and this pommel dauphin/potato rosti is one of my favorites because it is so easy but comes across as a high effort technique and tastes so good. I hope you all enjoyed watching this video and learned something as well, as always feel free to comment below with any questions or message me directly :D

Miley Cyrus had the entire world talking after her performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Taking to the stage to perform “We Can’t Stop” before joining Robin Thicke for “Blurred Lines,” Miley delivered one of the most talked-about performances in pop culture history. From her teddy bear-themed outfit to the now-infamous onstage dance moves, the performance sparked headlines and endless debate, with the reactions from One Direction and Rihanna becoming memorable moments in their own right.

I’m genuinely starting to lose interest in watches made by the big conglomerates.

This year I’ve really changed the way I look at the watch industry. I find myself getting more and more interested in independent watchmakers. People who put their heart, soul and sometimes everything they own into creating something special.

I’d much rather spend my money supporting someone who has dedicated their entire life to watchmaking than buying another version of the same watch with a different dial.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love the big brands, but there’s something incredibly special about supporting the people who are actually trying to push this industry forward rather than just selling us the same story over and over again.

I’ve been told that I don’t shut up. So, to spare those closest to me the agony of my running train of thoughts… I am trying out some new content where I’ll share a random thought with you all. Welcome to Unsolicited Thoughts Thursday.

Lmk what you think. Do you hate this? What do you want to hear about?
